Thankful that year is behind us

What a year 2009 was. I left State Farm in October and only work with ARAMARK now. I have been drawn into a job I truely have a passion for. I have changed my degree from Medical Assistant to Business Management. I can apply so much of what I am learning in school now, to my job.

Javier was laid off in October. He has been working on consulting. We have toyed with the idea of making a business of it. But since we can't have a discussion, that is as far as we have taken it.

Marcus and Victoria continue to do well in school. Given the hours I put in between work and school, Javier and I have escentually switched rolls and he has been helping them with homework and school projects. Indoor soccer is just starting and there is currently 6 inches of snow on the ground. Tourniments are in the near future; and soon the games will begin.

Kashi left us in October to find a new home. Our neighbors continously called the police either because he was barking or twice because he ran in their yard. He was getting so big and needed a bigger (fenced in yard.. As he would run through the "invisible" fence) so my sister Jennifer took him to her house. Longer story short, they were told of a man who was looking for and dog. He came to meet Kashi and they bonded quickly. Kashi went home with him. We miss his crazyness, Victoria misses him most, but we know he is happy.

On the good side of it.. Shout and Zappa have kissed and made up. They now are allowed in the house together and get along great. We just took Shout to the vet as she was showing symptoms of Lime Disease. Two days on antibiotics and she is back to her old crazy self.

At the end of May, we lost my Grandmother. She passed from a abdominal anurism which she knew she had, but did not tell anyone. Including her children that she saw or spoke to often. She was given a beautiful service and burried beside my grandfather.

I did not make it to even one scooter rally in "09". I did make one ride to Richmond.. but nothing else. The Vespa is currently in my garage waiting to go for that next ride. I had to pull the tags off and cancle the insurance to save money. I am hoping to put it back on the road in the spring.

One really good thing came out of this year. My family (meaning all 7 children) was all together at our family reunion this year. I don't think that has happends since Logan passed away. It was good to have everyone together.

So heres to looking up to a better 2010!!
