I'm a slacker

Wow how many things have changed since my last blog... Lets see
Thanksgiving: This was the first time in 3 years that we did not go to Florida. We stayed home and had Thanksgiving with our friends "The Sapp's" then went to have desert with Marcus' soccer coach. We had good times, great food, and some tasty wine.

Christmas: Like a lot of others I know (and losing one of my jobs) things were tight and we had to make some decisions. We had our annual Scooter Group Christmas Eve (my husband is such a good sport), Opened gifts with the family at midnight, went to my aunts house Christmas day, then off to my mother-in-laws. She was off on the 26th and wanted to spend it with the kids. So instead of driving from Palmyra to Fredricksburg then home, we drove Palmyra to Fredericksburg, to Manassas where we stayed until the 28th.

December 26th: My birthday.... I am now 34. We went to my sister-in-laws (in Manassas) for lunch/dinner. As the evening went on and people started to go home or started to fall to sleep I got worried that I was not going to get CAKE. LOL My husband told me it was waiting for me at his moms. That, in fact, my 8 year old went to the store with him, picked it out, and spent her own money to buy it. (insert proud smiley here) I also got my annual charm to add to my bracelet. It is a little dress shoe.

Wait..... did I also tell you that I got my Job Offer from State Farm? I start January 5th.

AND

Javier got his paperwork in for his citizenship swear in on January 9.

Ok so

December 27 we met up with my sister-in-law and her family to go to Hersey Park. Marcus was busy spending quality time with Sandra's boyfriend Santiago, so he stayed behind, Javier, Victoria and myself went. It was cold and foggy, but I had a good time. I ate the biggest SMORE I have ever had. It was sooooooo tasty.

On to New Years.... We spend this day every year with the Sapp's. They are usually away in Florida for Christmas so we celebrate with them, have dinner then ring in the New Year. Victoria decided this year that we would have sparkling cider (kids are too young to have the real stuff :o) ) in shot glasses instead of Champagne flutes.

And today.... I sit here catching up on all of the internet sites I have been neglecting.

But wait..... there is one more thing.....

I got a new puppy!!! Yep you read it right.

No he is not a Jack Russell, but instead, his mother is a Rottweiler - Australian Shepard mix and his father, (not a planned breeding so we are not exactly sure) is either a Mastiff or a Chocolate lab.
His name is Kashi and I am sure you will read more about him in the future.
HE'S GONNA BE BIG!!!
